Paul Kitchen is an attentive and empathetic Attorney with a history of advocacy, a granular knowledge of his subject matter, and a passion for educating his clients. He specializes in real estate transactional matters, as well as the nuances of landlord-tenant law - an ever evolving field in both San Francisco and California.
Paul was born and raised in San Francisco, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to earn his JD from UCLA School of Law. Paul worked under Kamala Harris at the San Francisco District Attorney's Office in misdemeanors, went on to work at the California Attorney General's Office in the criminal appeals division, and later worked in the Major Crimes section of the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, where he participated in prosecuting several high profile criminals.
After becoming a member of the State Bar of California, Paul moved back to San Francisco, and began using his experience
to assist clients in purchasing, selling, and investing in the San Francisco real estate . He is both an advisor and an active investor in the multi-unit sphere, and draws from a large pool of qualified individuals to make sure that clients have the best assessment of value, understanding of the market conditions, and the best services at their disposal.
Paul loves to help clients understand each step of the process in their journey to buy and sell properties, and particularly enjoys analyzing market trends, advising clients on pricing strategies, comparative analyses, staging and visual presentation considerations, and the myriad nuances of San Francisco purchases and sales. Paul is keenly focused on evolving local ordinances, rent board decisions, and the ever-changing legal and political landscape so as to best advise his clients on strategic decisions including pricing, risk-management, portfolio goals, and sales and acquisition strategies. He is well-versed in the nuances of landlord-tenant law and building codes as they relate to residential use.
In his spare time, Paul is an avid vintage race car driver, a huge fan of motorsports, and is an aspiring collector. He can be found racing with groups such as CSRG, HMSA, and SVRA, and is currently participating in the CrossFlow Cup in his 1969 Lotus single seater. Paul and his wife Blair just embarked on their newest journey by welcoming their first child, Tallulah. They live on the north side of town, where they enjoy time together with their daughter, hiking, laughing, going to the track, and socializing with friends and family.
